The short version
Short answer
Water damage work in Oklahoma City comes down to three stages: stop and extract the water, dry the structure until readings match dry areas of the house, then repair what had to come out. The pages below cover each job in that chain, from a burst pipe at 2 a.m. to the paperwork your adjuster needs.

Emergency water
These are the calls where water is still moving or standing. Speed matters more than anything else here: the sooner the source is stopped and the bulk water is pulled out, the more carpet, drywall and flooring stays. Storm calls land here too, including covering a damaged roof or window so the next rain doesn't undo the drying, and pumping out a flooded storm shelter.

Leaks inside the house
One fixture or line let go inside the house. These jobs are usually smaller than a flood but sneakier, because the water runs under cabinets, behind walls and through ceilings before anyone sees it. The work is tracing where it went, opening only what's needed, and drying the hidden spaces while a plumber or HVAC tech fixes the source.
Appliance Leak Water Damage
Washing machine hose failures, dishwasher leaks under cabinets, refrigerator and ice maker lines
Water Heater Leak Cleanup
Garage and closet tank leaks, attic water heater leaks, tankless unit leaks

Drying and rebuild

Carpet, rugs and upholstery
Carpet, pad, rugs and upholstered furniture hold more water than anything else in a room, and they decide whether a house smells right a month later. These pages cover when carpet can be saved, when pad gets replaced, how wool rugs and sofas are handled, and how carpet is cleaned and treated after the water is out.
Wet Carpet Drying and Restoration
Floating carpet to dry the pad side, re-stretching after drying, when carpet cannot be saved
Carpet Pad Replacement
Rebond pad, moisture-barrier pad, tack strip replacement
Flooded Carpet Cleaning and Sanitizing

Toilet and floor drain backups, main line backups, what has to be thrown out

Property types and claims
Some losses are shaped by the building or the paperwork more than the water: businesses that need to stay open, rentals with several units and owners involved, manufactured homes with particleboard floors, belongings that need to move out, and the documentation your insurer will ask for.

Moving furniture off wet floors, off-site contents drying, photo inventory
Water Damage Insurance Claim Help
Photos and moisture logs, working with your adjuster, sudden versus gradual leaks
Commercial Water Damage Restoration
Offices and retail, restaurants and kitchens, fire sprinkler discharges
